Director of Client Engagement - Army/C5ISR

Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of the Army Division, the

Director of Client Engagement - Army/C5ISR

will focus on promoting and positioning available contract vehicles throughout the Department of Defense (DoD), highlighting ManTech’s digital engineering capabilities and our capacity to deliver innovative solutions. Responsibilities include maximizing performance year goals with high-quality efforts, establishing and facilitating a task/project-standup engine, and building new client relationships while enhancing existing ones by understanding client challenges and applying ManTech resources to develop solutions. This role operates within the context of the Army’s C5ISR mission, broader modernization initiatives, and the application of digital engineering concepts to the DoD’s joint mission efforts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Revitalize prior areas of interest and develop them into effective technical efforts for identified clients.

Define and refine a program “ordering guide” to help new clients quickly understand available capabilities and how they are packaged/provided.

Update and maintain program marketing packages and client briefings.

Establish and maintain a developing task order tracking list by stage and define action paths for closure.

Engage with Army C5ISR clients to identify their modernization initiatives/needs and facilitate solution-oriented resolutions on existing C5ISR task orders.

Initiate and progress digital engineering-focused discussions with the broader Army client base and facilitate their interest in ManTech solutions.

Assist Army clients in establishing C5ISR digital engineering-focused task orders on an AAS-based contract.

Identify digital solutions and innovative upgrades to the existing C5ISR family of systems.

Stay informed on Army modernization and digital engineering initiatives and facilitate ManTech’s technical engagement with relevant organizations to present prototypes and proof of concept solutions.

Canvas DoD and Army stakeholders for viable opportunities to present ManTech solutions.

Review pending RFIs, DRFPs, OTAs, and other customer requirements initiatives and assess their relevance to the defined program.

Monitor Congressional and Army actions that could drive new or modified needs/requirements and schedule meetings with key stakeholders.

Generate and provide white papers as needed.

Develop positive working relationships and regularly engage with AAS Program leadership in support of program progression.

Required Qualifications:

BS degree and 10+ years of experience in military or Army acquisition/systems support (Army preferred).

2+ years of experience in account management or marketing/business development.

3+ years of experience in C5ISR mission support.

Strong technical knowledge/skills to comprehend and propose products or solutions based on the client’s requirements with the ability to effectively articulate technical ideas, solutions and services to military leaders.

Proficient IT skills and operational knowledge of necessary software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other statistical analysis software.

A solid understanding of business and marketing principles.

In depth knowledge of and/or experience bidding, administering and/or leading GSA opportunities managed by AAS (formerly known as FedSim).

Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Willing to commute to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 2-3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree.

Working knowledge and/or experience with the Army organizations supporting the Army’s primary operational domains.

Active duty military experience or experience in a Government Civilian leadership role.

The ability to motivate themselves and others.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.

A strategic and creative mind.

Excellent customer service skills.

Well organized with the ability to work independently.

Clearance Requirements:

Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.

Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers.

Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.
