Job Summary:Directs the operation of a student placement office to provide job placement and counseling services to undergraduates, graduates, and alumni.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and implements career planning and placement services, programs, and policies.
Provides direction, management, and evaluation for campus recruiting, internships, career workshops, and job placement research.
Ensures department goals are met and supports University-wide goals.
Works directly with corporate recruiters in developing and implementing University-specific recruiting policies.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A clear operational understanding of higher education culture and excellent planning and organizational skills.
A demonstrated ability to lead and manage an academic environment and to communicate clearly, effectively, and collegially.
Enthusiasm and ability to successfully engage, motivate, and interact with the University community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, Master’s preferred.
Experience:
Seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience in directing a career planning and placement center and related technologies.
