This is a full-time salary position: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift.
Catalent in Somerset, NJ is home to oral solid dose manufacturing operations as part of the Oral and Specialty Delivery (OSD) business unit. On site we have our state-of-the-art laboratory, clinical, and commercial manufacturing plant for oral dose forms in addition to being the Catalent Center of Excellence for handling Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
The Global Environment, Sustainability, Health and Safety Team along with the
Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability , serves as the champion of ensuring the health and safety of our employees, environmental compliance and implementation of our environmental sustainability strategy.
The
Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability
and team are collectively responsible for designing and executing initiatives that are foundational to the environmental, health and safety objectives of the company; in alignment with Catalent’s purpose, values and people strategies. Each team member demonstrates a deep personal and professional commitment to positively impact the global communities where the Company operates and serves.
The Role:
Lead the development of a Sustainability strategy, focused on decreasing Catalent’s environmental footprint to identify sustainability projects
Manage consultants providing sustainability services
Identify sustainability risks and appropriate mitigation measures
Highlight opportunities to increase Catalent’s sustainability credentials
Provide design advice to sites to improve sustainability status
Manage the implementation of sustainability projects
Support our Environment, Social, Governance (or Corporate Responsibility) reporting efforts
Upwards to 20% global travel expectation, annually
Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
Bachelor's Degree, required; educational discipline in Sustainability, Engineering, preferred
Working familiarity with sustainability frameworks: BREEAM, LEED, WELL etc
Proven effectiveness in data-driven program design and execution for large, multi-national organization
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
