Position Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in all facets of athletics video, digital and social media areas. Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and social media engagement are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the director in the development of strategic social media calendars and creative content.

Serve as additional point of contact for all social media technology implementation and management including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram as well as content creation in Adobe Suite.

Assist in production and execution of Campbell’s ESPN Broadcasts.

Schedule, shoot, and produce all sports highlight videos during the year and for the end-of-year banquet; as well as promotional activities.

Manage assigned social media accounts.

Produce recruiting videos for athletics teams.

Serve as leader for individual team’s Creative Team’s student workers.

Produce marketing and promotions videos as directed; send video highlights to media, conference offices and the NCAA as necessary.

Maintain video archives of Campbell's TEAMS.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to; HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal mandates.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

1-2 years of experience working in an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports environment, preferred.

Experience shooting video of athletic contests and using video editing programs.

Experience working with website editing programs.

Experience using social media for the marketing and promotion of athletic programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

Comprehensive computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, Adobe products and standard methods of digital communication, including web/text/chat platforms.

Advanced skills in utilizing/administering social media platforms.

Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public.

Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.

Exercise good judgment in complex, new, and/or stressful situations.

Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines.

Adaptability, flexibility and a willingness to work in a changing environment.

Ability to work regular evening or weekend hours and regular travel; including overnight stays.
