Job Description:The Marketing & Communication / Presidents Office Assistant plays an important role in supporting MCLA's on-line presence. Duties include the following:

Answer telephones with courtesy and energy, take accurate messages, and route calls to the appropriate staff person.

Assist in content creation for social media, including video and multimedia projects.

Perform weekly office inventory and prepare supply requisitions as necessary.

Copying, filing, and general office support, including preparation of meeting materials, purchase orders, payment forms, and other tasks as assigned.

Assist with events and special projects as directed.

Composes social media posts for MCLA's main Facebook and Twitter pages, which comprises of taking photos and creating language.

Assist in monitoring social media pages for MCLA.

Work with other students on campus to help promote and cover College events.

Maintain the Office of Communications' photography archive.

Job Requirements:

Strong computer skills and ability with MS Office.

Attention to detail, thoroughness and commitment to accuracy in all assigned work.

Strong customer service and time management skills.

Willingness to ask questions and endure understanding of assigned tasks.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work with confidential information.

Commitment to represent the College and the Office of the President with professionalism and energy.

Additional Information:This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA who have been awarded work study.
