DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Recruit, onboard, and conduct new hire training for Drivers. Maintain pre-hire paperwork, driver qualification files, and background checks. Develops and updates training plans to ensure training material complies with new regulations. Train drivers on FMCSA requirements, company safety policies and procedures, and proper use of all company equipment. Assist managers with transportation auditing. Conduct periodic update training. Oversee ELD usage and maintain compliance with HOS rules. Document, investigate, and correct complaints. Lead accident reporting and investigation. Provide follow-up training and evaluation of new drivers. Interact with customers to complete JSA and safe practices for new movements and materials. Track yearly DOT physicals. Provide support to other department leads for health and safety.COMPETENCY:This position requires CDL A License, along with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.Knowledge of DOT, EPA., and OSHA regulatory requirements. Experience with driving tractor-trailers and specialized equipment.Ability to judge driver performance and focus training to eliminate driver deficiencies.Knowledge of FMCSA rules as well as state and local rules.Knowledge of HOS auditing and training.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must have clean CDL A License.5 - 7 years of experienceExperience with manual and automatic transmissions, Knowledge of roll-offs, dump trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and pneumatic trailers.Knowledge of safe driving proceduresHigh School diploma requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT:30% Office, 70% field work, and truck driving during trainingThe expected salary for this position is $63,300 -$82,000.This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary will consider various factors, including experience, ability, and location.
