The

Fundraising Manager

is essential to advancing the mission of Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity (GRHFH) by securing the philanthropic funding necessary for our success.

This position is responsible for the oversight and execution of GRHFH's fundraising campaigns. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly in various settings, work collaboratively across departments and various stakeholder groups, and prioritize and execute in a fast-paced office environment, all while remaining donor-centered and embracing/reflecting the mission and vision of GRHFH.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Act as relationship manager to house sponsor/philanthropic volunteer groups such as: Greater Rochester Interfaith Builders, Women Build, Leader's Build, and other organizations seeking to align their volunteer activities with Habitat's mission of building homes, communities and hope.Oversee and execute ongoing stewardship campaign including outreach to existing and potential donors.Manage and grow GRHFH's annual giving and corporate giving campaigns.Provide leadership, structure, processes, and guidance to fundraising committees to help achieve goals of each program.Provide fundraising support to various special events, primarily GRHFH's annual gala.Work with Director of Development & Marketing to create, implement, and report out on a comprehensive plan to achieve donor engagement campaign objectives, including metrics on donor acquisition, retention, and fundraising revenue.Work in partnership with Director of Development & Marketing and the Development team to identify and address barriers to performance and adherence to organizational goals.Raise community awareness of Habitat's mission and its programs through speaking engagements, media, build day meet and greets, lunch & learns, and other initiatives.In partnership with communications staff and vendors, interface with and implement donor digital communications including website, email, social media, crowdfunding platforms, newsletters, and calendars.

Additional Responsibilities:Serve as key support staff to Director of Development & Marketing.Act as an ambassador and public face to bring to life the mission, vision, and values of GRHFH in all aspects of job performance.Serve on several internal and community-based committees that relate to the successful performance of this position.Actively participate in media, fundraising, and celebration/recognition events.Other duties as assigned by Director of Development & Marketing

RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSPassion for the Mission: Demonstrated enthusiasm for GRHFH's mission and vision.Cultural Competency: Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including confidence in public speaking to groups of varying size.Organizational Expertise: Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Interpersonal and Analytical Strengths: Excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong analytical capabilities.Independent and Team-Oriented: Ability to work both independently and as a key team player within the development department and across the organization.Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) is preferred.Effective Communication: Ability to communicate transparently and promptly with internal departments and external stakeholders.Fundraising Software Experience: Experience with fundraising software; Salesforce experience is a plus.Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube is preferred.Driver's License: Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving record is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Daily travel will be required for this position and reliable transportation is required. Approved work-related mileage, beyond commuting to and from home, will be reimbursed per the affiliate's policyMust be able to frequently communicate in English (verbal), working as part of a team and supporting staff and volunteers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in fundraising or related field required or;5 years of experience in fundraising or related field2 years' experience working with volunteer groups/committees highly preferredReliable transportation with ability to travel throughout Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne County for occasional meetings/eventsSafeguarding: GRHFH requires that all employees take seriously their ethical responsibilities to safeguard our intended beneficiaries, their communities, and all those with whom we work.
