Would you like to work with the most exciting, early-stage startups in North America? Do you have the technical insight, business savvy, and relationship development skills, to help further establish Amazon Web Services as the cloud leader for startups?
We are looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to lead the Accelerators team in the North America Startup Business Development organization. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of former startup founders/operators who champion and work alongside the world’s best tech startups and accelerators. You will work closely with the startup ecosystem as well as internal teams to define the strategy to ensure the world’s leading founders are choosing to build their startups on AWS.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background to drive engagements and interact with founders and investors, as well as technical experience to effectively interact with CTOs and software developers. You have a track record of creating strategy and working cross functionally to successfully execute. You also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. You’ll be expected to execute in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources. Competency in cloud computing will be required for ongoing success – as is a keen sense of ownership, curiosity, scrappiness, and drive.
Key job responsibilities:
Lead a team that builds and manages relationships with leading early-stage investors and startups.
Act as the voice of the startup customer by discovering, capturing, and reporting back patterns and learnings from the field to internal teams including AWS services/product teams.
Conceive, author, secure support for, launch and execute new initiatives and programs to meet the needs of startup customers.
