to support our Client across the Mid-Atlanic region.Transmission Schedulers are responsible for maintaining the reliability of the Bulk Electric System during planned and unplanned outages. Employees at the career level of this job family have the job skills and knowledge to exercise independent judgment on complex projects and assignments. They have achieved full competency and proficiency in their job duties.Responsibilities:Process switching requests submitted by regionsAnalyze outage requests for contingenciesMaintain compliance with PJM outage coordination requirementsCoordinate outages with internal and external sourcesPrepare Four Day Out study, analyze reliability issues and provide solutionsModel scheduled outages in EMS/RTS to identify contingencies and/or overloads. Provide solutions to scheduling concernsWrite procedures for taking equipment out of service, restoring to service and test energizingProvide support to Operators regarding switching controlsProvide technical support to control centersAdministration of databases used to support the control centersPrepare scheduling reports for operating companiesProvide training and technical assistance to lower level employeesRecommend and implement improvements to work processesRecommend and implement solutions to complex issues and assignmentsProvide assistance during emergencies and storm related activitiesQualifications:
Works safely according to company policies and procedures.Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field3-4 years of related experienceIn-depth understanding of Transmission System Operations procedures, policies, practicesExcellent written and oral communications skills.Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical abilities involving complex problems; exercise sound judgment.Strong leadership and organizational skillsTechnical expert in Energy Delivery Outage application, Transmission Outage database, EMS, Microsoft Office, SORS, eDART, FileNet,Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlinesBenefits * :
