Role Definition

The

Head of Strategic Partnerships

will play a pivotal role in identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic alliances to accelerate the growth and market penetration of Cognixion. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with key industry players, exploring potential partnerships, and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.

Responsibilities

Partnership Identification and Development:

Conduct thorough market research to identify relevant potential strategic partners aligned with the company's goals.

Develop, present, and gain approval for a comprehensive partnership strategy.

Execute the approved comprehensive partnership strategy, including developing target partner profiles and relationship-building plans.

Initiate and manage outreach to partners, building and nurturing relationships at all levels.

Partnership Evaluation and Negotiation:

Assess potential partnerships based on strategic fit, market impact, and financial viability.

Structure and negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk mitigation.

Develop and implement partnership performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Partnership Management:

Oversee the day-to-day management of existing partnerships, ensuring successful collaboration and achievement of shared goals.

Foster strong relationships with partner executives and key stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for partnership expansion and optimization.

Strategic Guidance:

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership on partnership opportunities and industry trends.

Contribute to the development of the company's overall business strategy.

Success Metrics

Number of strategic partnerships established within a defined timeframe.

Revenue generated through partnerships.

Market share growth attributable to partnerships.

Increased brand visibility and awareness through partnerships.

Successful execution of partnership initiatives and achievement of KPIs.

By focusing on these key areas and measuring success against defined metrics, the Head of Strategic Partnerships will contribute significantly to the company's growth and market leadership.

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a minimum of ten years of experience in fostering deep technological startups and partnering with major strategic entities to rapidly drive market adoption and secure significant market share gains, including exclusive deals.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, while being proactive and result-driven to finalize mutually beneficial agreements.

Demonstrate commercial acumen, focusing on building relationships that promote long-term differentiation and financial growth.

Communicate clearly and effectively, avoiding jargon, and building trust with partners, staff, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in a dynamic, startup environment, exhibiting resilience, creativity, and a positive mindset.

Passion for not only initiating new opportunities but also closing deals.

Ability to articulate ideas in simple, easy-to-understand terms.

Location and Flexibility:

Preference for candidates to be based in our Santa Barbara office.

If remote, must be flexible with travel and ready for spontaneous video conferences or calls at nontraditional hours.
