DescriptionThe Senior Operations Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, primarily warehouse management, logistics, inventory and distribution functions with oversight on purchasing and sourcing. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high service levels across the Operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations, working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and leading cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop and implement long-term strategies for warehouse, logistics, and distribution operations to support company growth, scalability and cost control.Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with company goals and objectives.Manage relationships with carriers and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive rates and service levels.Manage 3PL contracts, performance, and service levels, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.Evaluate and select 3PL partners based on strategic needs, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations (such as order accuracy, cycle times, and inventory turnover) and logistics and distribution, ensuring continuous improvement in service levels and cost efficiency.Lead initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operations, leveraging data and technology to optimize processes and performance.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to direct reports, setting clear expectations and goals.Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for team members to ensure professional growth and succession planning.RequirementsRequired Education, Experience & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; OR equivalent work experience.5-10 years experience in operations management, with experience in warehouse operations, logistics and distribution within a high growth environment.Ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial environmentAbility to understand processes and workflows and help translate them to a digital workflow within IT Business SystemsProven experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations and working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics strategies, and inventory management.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Effective troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsProblem-solving skillsProject and time-management skills.Ability to work and achieve results with minimal directionPreferred Education, Experience & SkillsExperience with Salesforce and/or Netsuite
