Job Overview:
As a member of the Food Business Development (BD) Team within Linde’s US industrial gas division (LGUS), you will be tasked with managing business development activities aimed at the food producers. This position reports to the Director of Food Markets BD and does not have direct reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
Engaging with prospects, customers, and other external companies in order to learn, develop, and launch avenues for revenue growth. Uncovering and understanding customer needs, developing relationships with key accounts and potential partners, and discussing customer testimonial use.
Supporting and guiding LT (R&D) during new technology commercialization for US-Led projects by acting as overall project lead through balancing LT, the customer, Sales, and regional BD to meet the needs of all parties.
Creating and maintaining OEM relationships with companies with whom Linde can benefit from lead sharing including build partners, equipment manufacturers with IG-using offerings, and OEM’s with complimentary up and down stream offerings.
Creating and maintaining relationships with multi-site food companies at the national level with contacts in operations, R&D, purchasing, etc. in pursuit of new business and support of existing business.
Owning the commercial training, materials, and tools for new technology equipment offerings. This includes the creation of new materials, the maintenance of existing materials, the organization of these materials on the internal share-site, and the use of collaboration and feedback for novel materials.
Creating, defining, executing, and monitoring lead generation activities in order to provide pre-qualified Food company leads to BD and Sales particularly in pursuit of promoting new technologies.
Strong collaboration with LT (R&D), Regional Business Development, and Regional Sales. Ability to travel up to 40%.
Qualifications:
4 Year BA/BS Degree Required (Engineering or Sciences preferred)
5-10 years of experience in Sales, Communications, or Business Development or a combination of other experiences in B2B and/or technical industries
3+ years of direct customer interaction
Food Industry experience preferred
Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
