Regional Cost Manager

to join our growing team in Northern California! In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality cost estimating services across all market sectors, management of the estimating workload for the region, and support business development efforts. Regional Cost Manager Responsibilities include:

Create cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development, independently or as part of an external or internal team.

Supervise, mentor and develop estimators in the region.

Maintain high-quality estimating services and client satisfaction.

Foster relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Oversee the scheduling and coordination of regional estimating workload and team management tasks, including quality control, proposal fees, and task coordination.

Ensure timely and accurate work products & deliverables to clients in accordance with QA/QC procedures.

Conduct a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate client’s project and strategic goals.

Collaborate with clients to provide customized cost estimating solutions.

Regularly review and communicate to management estimating resource levels and forecast changes in need of staff based upon future forecasted workload.

Provide timely and accurate updates on project progress, milestones, and any changes in status.

Organize and participate in routine meetings to discuss project developments, address concerns, and align on objectives.

Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships through the creation of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.

Desired Experience includes:

Minimum of 10 years cost estimating and management experience for construction/engineering projects. Cost consultancy experience highly desired!

Expertise in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for various vertical construction/engineering projects, to include, but not limited to conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, and benchmarking.

Expertise in managing the full lifecycle of cost estimating, from initial proposal to final cost reporting.

Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., On Screen Takeoff (OST), Destini, or similar) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred.
