Modeling and Simulation Team Lead

, to join our team primarily working on-site in the classified spaces within MTSI's Alexandria, VA Headquarter Office, and secondarily in secure government facilities in the National Capitol Region.

Responsibilities

As a Senior

Modeling and Simulation Team Lead , with Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) you will will oversee and guide a dedicated team of analysts and engineers in developing and executing detailed mission level analytic studies in support of DoD organizations responsible for rapidly developing a portfolio of capabilities needed to counter near-peer adversaries and improve the U.S. posture in engaging future threats.

These studies will principally use the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) software suite to explore advanced concepts and technologies.

Your role will involve coordinating cross-functional efforts, ensuring the technical excellence of study efforts, and driving innovative solutions to meet organizational goals. You will be responsible for managing team resources, coordinating with various study leads, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality modeling, simulation, and analysis products.

The position will primarily work on-site in the classified spaces within MTSI's Alexandria HQ office, and secondarily in secure government facilities in the National Capitol Region.Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of modeling and simulation experts. Provide guidance, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Resource Management:

Ensure efficient allocation of resources and resolve any issues that arise during the execution of various ongoing M&S efforts.Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of modeling and simulation projects. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet all analytical objectives.Technical Oversight:

Ensure the technical quality of models, simulations, and analyses. Review and validate model assumptions, outputs, and methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability.Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategies for modeling and simulation initiatives that align with organizational goals. Identify and address technical challenges and opportunities for improvement.Innovation and Improvement:

Stay abreast of the latest developments in modeling and simulation technologies and methodologies. Promote best practices and drive continuous improvement in modeling techniques and processes.Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders, including senior management and external partners. Ensure clear and effective communication of simulation results and insights.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in

modeling, simulation, and analysis .3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.Technical Skills : Experience with mission-level modeling and simulation methodologies and tools (i.e., AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM), as well as strong programming skills in object-oriented languages such as Python or C++.Project Management : Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Leadership : Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams.Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a flexible approach to tackling new challenges.Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant technical field.Master's degree in engineering or another relevant technical field, (Desired ) .Clearance Requirements:Active Secret Clearance to start (TS/SCI desired).U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.Travel Requirments :Periodic travel to secure government facilities in the National Capitol Region.
