What We're Looking For
We are seeking 2025 New Grad Structural/Architectural Engineers to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA.
Individuals in this position provide technical skill in structural engineering to serve the structural engineering efforts through all phases of HNTB’s building projects, performing structural engineering tasks such as research for code and project criteria, design calculations, and detailing and design for buildings. Focusing will also include creating analysis models, hand calculations, drawings, and performing engineering during all phases of design, including construction administration.
Projects include nationally significant and challenging Sports, Aviation, Government, Rail, and Transit building structures for HNTB’s growing and diverse Architectural practice.
What You’ll Do:
Provides structural engineering analysis and design of building structures including sport facilities, airport facilities, transit facilities, and more in support of HNTB’s national architectural practice.
Provides structural engineering analysis and design of framing and foundation systems for steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, and wood building frame systems.
Performs structural engineering services during the construction phase such as responding to construction questions, reviewing contractor submittals, and conducting construction site observations.
Prepares design drawings and/or specifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering.
What We Prefer:
Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with primary focus on structures.
EIT.
Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, SAP 2000, ETABS, Enercalc, TEDS, and REVIT skills.

The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $72,687.98 - $109,031.98. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
