Job DescriptionAECOM has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager to support our Environmental Remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam.

This position will be based in Honolulu. In this role, you will focus on multiple large-scale remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam, managing a team of up to 10 persons including subcontractors. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing environmental remediation projects of $3 million dollars or greater - including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Actions for the Federal sector. You will have at a minimum a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science with a successful work history of environmental investigation and remediation projects.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

Manage one or more moderately complex projects, involving a combination of the following:

Clients with a regional geographic footprint; OR

Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices; OR

Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.

Manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).

Work mostly independently but receive basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.

Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.

Supervise senior-level professionals (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and procurement representatives.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

US Citizen, for access to DoD project sites.

Ability to successfully obtain a DBIDs pass to gain access to any required federal military installation site locations.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in engineering, Geology Environmental Science, or related discipline.

Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

Experienced with CERCLA and environmental science principles, including site assessment and characterization, remediation, risk assessment, environmental chemistry, etc.

Candidate must possess current 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications and be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Professional registration.

Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.

Knowledgeable and experienced working in the State of Hawaii, Department of Health TGM, SCP, and local environmental regulation.

Extensive DOD and CLEAN Experience in Hawaii and Guam.

Proven project estimating experience, preferably environmental.

Demonstrated experience with Client and Regulatory interactions.

Excellent skills in written and spoken communication (including polished client presentation skills), organization, time, and management.

Field work might be required, including oversight of subcontractors.
