Family Medicine Physician
for our outpatient practice in Crown Point, IN.Family Medicine Physician Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient populationPrescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditionsRefers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriateDirects and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as requiredAs appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion and/or education programsAbility to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progressKnowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical careKnowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usageKnowledge of related accreditation and certification requirementsKnowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertiseAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsRequired Skills and QualificationsMedical License in IndianaMedical License in IllinoisBoard certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty3-5 years of experience is preferred, and open to new graduatesCompleted a US Residency ProgramOpportunity HighlightsFamily Medicine practice - 100% outpatientCompetitive Compensation - Recently IncreasedAll-Inclusive Hiring BonusComprehensive Onboarding PackageExceptional benefits – Medical, dental, retirement, time off, and CME allowanceMonday-Friday practice including one evening per week and one Saturday morning per monthAbout UChicago Medicine Medical GroupUChicago Medicine Medical Group is aligned with The University of Chicago Medicine.
