About Rhode Island FC (USL) & RIFC Stadium at Tidewater Landing:

Rhode Island FC launched their inaugural season in 2024 as a part of the United Soccer League (USL), Championship Division. RIFC will open a state-of-the-art soccer-specific stadium in downtown Pawtucket, RI along the banks of the Seekonk River. RIFC Stadium at Tidewater Landing will become the official home to professional soccer in the Ocean State. Included in the 10,500 seats will be 1,100 premium seats including luxury suites, loge boxes, field seats, club seats, and fieldside pavilions. RIFC Stadium at Tidewater Landing is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2025.

DIRECTOR CORPORATE SALES & SERVICE

Overview:

This position is responsible for developing, selling, and executing corporate partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for surpassing annual sales goals by delivering new and incremental revenue as well as retaining existing relationships as assigned.

Cultivates a network of prospective clients.

Manage categories to optimize overall revenue.

Assists with the development of new properties.

Achieves agreed-upon sales targets.

Research, cold call, and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with local, regional, and national brands.

Leverage B2B opportunities, helping to produce the best possible outcomes regarding service, expenses, and revenue.

Work across the organization to deliver comprehensive deals that support organizational goals and objectives.

Identify emerging trends and categories.

Manage and foster personal relationships with existing portfolio of clients.

Contribute to department planning and execution of client hospitality events.

Work closely with Corporate Sales service team to ensure fulfillment and over-delivery of contract benefits are met.

Contribute to the planning and execution of select special events.

Contribute to the preparation of post-season reports for assigned accounts.

Monitor and assist Finance in accounts receivables for all accounts.

Generate account plans and reports.

Contribute to Corporate Sales annual plans.

Manage Partnership Marketing team to ensure execution of partner assets.

Establish peer-to-peer relationships within the industry to help ideate and implement best practices.

Work in partnership with senior leadership to modify and improve the department’s go-to-market strategies.

Collaborate with departments to develop and create new inventory to support revenue growth.

Provide reports and summaries as requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Comprehensive understanding of marketing, advertising, and branding strategies.

Knowledge of the sports industry.

Knowledge of television and/or radio advertising.

Strong knowledge of best practices in corporate partnership industry.

Strong understanding of various social media platforms.

Thorough understanding of the sales process.

Well-organized.

Strong initiative.

Good decision maker.

Enjoys competition.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to lead C-level/executive meetings.

Experience with industry-related platforms such as Kore, Sponsor CX, YouGov, Sponsor United.

Extensive experience in the development of integrated sponsorship packages and delivery of presentations.

Experience/Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree, Sports Management or Business, preferred.

6-8 years related sales/sales management industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Sales experience preferred; sports sales experience a plus.

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Efficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM.
