8 hour shifts, Variable DaysPosition SummaryThe Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail-oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.ResponsibilitiesYou will receive specimens, establish and maintain positive identification of specimens.You will determine the suitability of specimens.You will acquire/prepare reagents as needed.You will perform instrument maintenance and calibration.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Sciences.Certification or registry eligible for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT.SM (ASCP), RM (NRM) for Microbiology only.Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible (if duties will include phlebotomy).SC, SM (ASCP), MS in Clinical Chemistry or molecular diagnostics experience preferred for Immunology only.Our ValuesAs a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness, and Joy. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $39.06 - $56.22 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
