Full-TimeReports To:Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Architect (Vice President) for Platform Engineering to lead our engineering team in designing and implementing scalable, robust, and innovative platform solutions. This role will be pivotal in driving the technical strategy and architecture for our platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership:
Provide strategic direction and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of platform architecture.Innovation:
Drive innovation in platform engineering, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.Collaboration:
Work closely with product management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to define and execute the platform roadmap.Scalability:
Ensure the platform architecture supports scalability, performance, and reliability requirements.Mentorship:
Mentor and develop engineering leaders and architects within the team.Governance:
Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.Stakeholder Management:
Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to communicate technical strategies and progress.Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience:
20+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 8 years in a senior architectural role.Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of platform engineering, cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices. Experience with large-scale distributed systems.Experience of implementing security best practices and compliance requirements.Experience of designing cloud native, ML and Gen AI solutions.Familiarity with agile development methodologies.Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Leadership:
Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
