Director of Supply ChainWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead our supply chain operations in the dynamic field of manufacturing metals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process to ensure efficient production, inventory management, and timely delivery of high-quality metal products. Additionally, you will work with the Executive Team to develop, implement, and ensure consistent and cost-effective strategies to secure the company’s key raw material supplies. This position will interact with both internal and external stakeholders to execute objectives with the greatest impact on the company’s sustainable development in raw materials.ABOUT PSW GROUPPSW Group is a leading recycler and producer of non-ferrous lightweight metals, specializing in magnesium and aluminum supplying a broad range of products including secondary magnesium alloys, primary and secondary aluminum alloys, and tolling and chip recycling services. Our team also stands at the forefront of sustainability, by investing in technologies and processes to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining the highest quality of our products.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and quality control, to align supply chain processes with organizational goals.Implement robust inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.Evaluate and enhance supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.Continuously monitor market trends, global economic factors, and industry developments to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field required; advanced degree is a plus.· Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior supply chain role within the manufacturing sector, with a focus on metals or related industries.· Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.· In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.· Experience with ERP systems and other supply chain technologies.LOCATION· Chicago, ILTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
