Clinical DirectorAdvanced Surgery Center of North Louisiana is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to join our team. We are a fast-paced, multispecialty ambulatory surgery environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.Job Summary :The Ambulatory Surgical Services Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the operating room and implements process initiatives to improve efficiency of services and patient experience. The Clinical Director will report to the Administrator and will collaborate with them to promote fiscal accountability, develop and revise policies, and evaluate staff performance. The Clinical Director will oversee staff credentialing, preventative safety measures, risk management duties, and use their clinical and leadership experience to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes. The Clinical Director must have OR and pre/postoperative experience.ResponsibilitiesDevise strategies and plans for the clinical department according to company standards for excellent service and growthAssume responsibility of budgeting and resourcingPlan and oversee all patient care or administrative operations and programsRecruit employees to ensure the department is staffed with qualified personnelAssign cases and create schedules for all employeesAssist in the OR as neededCoordinate and supervise staff providing constructive feedbackProvide personnel with clinical training and opportunities for continuous developmentEvaluate performance and discipline employees when necessaryMonitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standardsWho We AreAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care. A diverse workforce, combined with an inclusive culture, makes USPI stronger and better able to meet the needs of our diverse patient and physician population.Required Skills:Proven experience as clinical director or other managerial positionCurrent RN license REQUIREDExperience in an ambulatory surgery center is idealOperating room RN experience requiredPACU experience preferredExperience in clinical supervision and program managementSolid understanding of budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation proceduresExcellent knowledge of standards (e.g. ISO) and regulations for the clinical fieldProficient in MS Office and computer systems (e.g. patient management software)Excellent communication and people skillsExceptional organizational and leadership skillsAptitude in resolving issues and conflictsUSPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
