Description:This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management to shape the future of our workforce and HR practices. The Senior HR Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of our human resources and payroll functions. The Senior HR Manager will drive our people strategy, enhance our organizational culture, and ensure operational excellence across our HR functions.

This position will serve as a thought partner to the senior leadership team and oversee the HR department to ensure alignment with the company’s mission and goals. The role requires expertise in talent acquisition, organizational design, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations. The Senior HR Manager will also oversee HRIS management and payroll processing, ensuring compliance and efficiency across all HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & HR Management:

Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with EL1’s mission and business objectives.

Partner with senior leadership to drive people strategy, including talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, and organizational design.

Build and maintain a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency, and collaboration.

Oversee the HRIS system (e.g., Paylocity), ensuring effective use and accurate payroll processing for multiple locations.

Talent Management & Employee Relations:

Create and implement strategies for attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse and talented workforce.

Develop and manage employee development, retention, and onboarding programs, including compensation, benefits, career paths, and succession planning.

Mediate employee relations issues and provide guidance on performance management and conflict resolution.

Organizational Culture & DEI:

Develop and implement strategies to improve organizational culture, maximize employee engagement, and monitor organizational climate.

Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness by strategically partnering with all functions and integrating high-impact DEI strategies into talent acquisition; talent and performance management (e.g., succession planning and mentoring); and training.

Foster an inclusive environment where all team members an thrive.

Operational Efficiency & Compliance:

Ensure HR policies and practices are competitive, aligned with company values, and compliant with federal, state, and local laws.

Oversee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.

Ensure compliance with all HR regulations, including MLB partnership responsibilities and employment laws.

Team Leadership & Development:

Supervise and support HR team and manage day-to-day HR operations.

Develop and implement performance management programs and learning systems to maximize employee growth.

Requirements:Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in strategic HR leadership with a proven track record in organizational design, performance management, and talent development.

2-4 years of experience specifically managing HRIS and multi-state payroll functions.

Skills & Competencies:

Expertise in HRIS systems, payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

High degree of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Strategic visionary with excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.

Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly desirable.
