College of Nursing is seeking a CRNA Assistant Program Director who is enthusiastic about developing the CRNA program and preparing CRNAs to work in rural settings throughout Oregon.

About the Job:The CRNA Assistant Program Director is a faculty position with teaching, student advisement, service, and scholarship responsibilities. This role will work closely with and report to the CRNA Program Director. The ideal candidate will have experience working in CRNA education and have a passion for serving vulnerable populations and underserved communities.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assisting with leadership of all aspects of the educational program including, but not limited to, administration, didactic and clinical curriculum, faculty recruitment and development, national accreditation, compliance with state regulations, and evaluation.Teaching CRNA courses and engaging in scholarship and service activities for the university.Demonstrating professional skills and interactions that support the mission and vision of the CRNA program and the university.Developing clinical sites and participating in the planning and coordination of clinical education functions.Assessing student performance, monitoring student progress, and providing timely feedback.Communicating between the academic institution, clinical partners, and all relevant stakeholders.Placing, supervising, and communicating with students throughout clinical experiences.Providing guidance and support to students to problem solve and discuss pertinent issues.Evaluating each clinical site and clinical coordinator through student feedback, on-site visits, and ongoing communication and relationship building.Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for clinical site selection, clinical coordinator selection, utilization, and evaluation.Maintaining an adequate number of clinical sites relative to quality, quantity, and diversity of learning experiences to meet the educational needs of students, the philosophy and outcomes of the program, and COA accreditation standards.Participating in accreditation.Coordinating and participating in the development of clinical education faculty.Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.Demonstrating awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.Other duties as assigned.

We're looking for candidates who have:An active unencumbered Oregon APRN licenseCurrent CRNA certification from NBCRNAAn earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher educationExperience in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development and administrationCurrent knowledge of CRNA practice and related professional issuesCurrent knowledge of institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements for nurse anesthesia educational programsMinimum five years of full-time equivalent CRNA clinical experienceExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsA personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. In addition, employees agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.

Preference Will be Given to Those Who Have the Following Attributes:Simulation experience in a high-fidelity lab preferred

Salary and rank:Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, though candidates with significant teaching experience at previous institutions may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
