Main Purpose of JobThe main purpose of the position is to provide executive leadership for all aspects of the hospital in order to accomplish the mission of the hospital - to provide competent treatment for its patients, treat all employees as its most valued asset, accomplish its goals and objectives with efficiency and fiscal restraint, manage its responsibilities with sensitivity to the surrounding community, and enhance its role as a progressive force in the mental health community and as a leader in providing effective hospital care. The hospital provides services to adult forensic and civilly committed patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSQualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health, human services, business administration or related field and six years of experience managing health service operations in a behavioral health care setting. Four of the six years must have included direct supervision of staff.
The desirable candidate will possess a master's in business administration, health care administration, public health administration, social work, nursing or psychology, as well as specific experience in forensic health service program planning, development and quality improvement initiatives as well as significant experience overseeing fiscal and human resources.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCurrent or past Chief Executive Officer experience in a forensic behavioral health facility is strongly desired.
SELECTION PROCESSThis is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
