About Us: At NorthRock, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment where talent thrives. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Total Rewards to join our team and lead our compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance functions.

Position Overview:

The Director of Total Rewards will serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, driving the strategy, policy, and programs that shape our compensation and benefits offerings. This role is integral in ensuring fair and competitive pay practices, creating meaningful benefits programs, and supporting the achievement of our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Development:

Create and develop comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies in collaboration with the Vice President of People. Implement, sustain, and enhance these programs.

HRIS Management:

Oversee the maintenance of compensation and benefits information within the HRIS system (UKG Ready).

Payroll Processing:

Implement and manage payroll systems to ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions. Process payroll semi-monthly.

Continuous Improvement:

Evaluate total rewards programs for competitiveness, effectiveness, and cost, and ensure ongoing process improvements.

Payroll Queries:

Address and resolve payroll-related questions, discrepancies, and provide necessary reports and documentation.

Regulatory Compliance:

Prepare and generate ACA data and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc.). Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment regulations and company policies.

Benefits Administration:

Manage open enrollment processes, prepare, and distribute total rewards statements, and act as the point-of-contact for various employee benefits and leave programs.

Employee Handbook:

Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and manage annual training deployment.

Employee Resource Groups:

Oversee the operations of Employee Resource Groups to ensure effective functioning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards or related roles.

SHRM or SPHR certification preferred.

Expertise in employment law and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ACA, EEO-1, etc.).

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with HRIS (UKG Ready preferred).

Exceptional data analysis skills and innovative problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work consultatively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated confidentiality and results-driven multitasking capabilities.
