Presbyterian Medical Services Seeks Vice President of Human Resources & Administration

Established in 1969, Presbyterian Medical Services (pmsnm.org) has 1,300 employees assigned to over 100 health, education, and human service programs throughout New Mexico. These include the largest network of community health centers in the state, early childhood education programs, senior services, and support for developmentally delayed clients. PMS is not associated with Presbyterian Healthcare Services, its hospitals or health plan.

Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the ideal VP candidate is a seasoned human resources leader with industry experience, known for their energy, forward-thinking approach, and creativity. They embody high ethical standards and professionalism. As part of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP will play a key role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction. This individual will supervise a team of HR professionals, most of whom work remotely, and will provide guidance and mentorship to ensure effective team performance. A strategic planner with strong technical and analytical skills, they have good judgment and a keen operational focus. Organized, self-directed, and politically savvy, they excel as both a team player and a mentor. They communicate effectively across all organizational levels and are skilled at resolving conflicts. This individual is decisive, balancing a strategic vision with a detail-oriented approach to execution.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources or closely related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Significant Human Resources experience in an executive-level position, with supervisory responsibilities.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must provide a current motor vehicle record.

Must submit to a motor vehicle record check on an as needed basis and must maintain a satisfactory driving record that is within the limitations of PMS Human Resources Policy II.D.3, Automobile Usage, and applicable state and federal laws.

Must comply with PMS Policies on Automobile Usage, II.D.3, Drug Free Workplace, III.H and applicable state and federal laws.

May be required to complete transportation related trainings.
