This is a full-time in-person role based in the company’s headquarters in Miami, FL. Applicants must be available to work in Miami – Thursday with work from home on Friday.

Position Summary:

The

Senior Product Owner / Lead Product Development

for Celebrity Cruises is responsible for guest journey development and detailed product definition of high-quality concepts and experiences for Celebrity Cruise guests.

This position is responsible for translating the product vision into various briefs, documents, and working sessions aligning all stakeholders and partners. The position ensures the Celebrity Cruises experience is executed through detailed guest journey mapping, product playbook creation, and integrated planning throughout Hotel Operations.

The Senior Product Owner / Lead Product Development will run day-to-day execution of new concepts, experiences, activities, dedicated spaces, and new programming for Celebrity Cruises. This person will collaborate and coordinate multiple rollout efforts on new ships, existing fleet, private destinations, and updating current products as part of Celebrity’s Operational Excellence efforts.

This role ensures that all concepts are brought to life in line with strategic goals and with a full understanding of operational feasibility.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of creative thinking, storytelling capabilities, and executional skills. Additionally, they should be able to problem-solve in the moment with creative solutions that keep stakeholders focused on the vision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Definition: Provides day-to-day product vision and support for all partners and stakeholders ensuring that the products being created for Celebrity Cruises are viable, feasible, and desirable for our guests.

Lead aspects of design and execution to continually enhance our products.

Create stories (in the form of presentations) outlining the product direction to help partners and stakeholders stay aligned and focused on the key priorities.

Use creative approaches to develop playbooks, executive presentations, operating procedures, and use data analytics to share recommendations and updates with senior management as well as partners and stakeholders.

Product delivery: The Sr. Product Owner / Lead Product Development is ultimately responsible for helping partners prioritize appropriately to ensure that final delivery of the product realizes the strategic vision and brings to life the desired experience for our guests.

Understand and work within PMO/project management framework such as: communicate changes as well as updates in direction or priority shifts to cross-functional teams while keeping Product Development Managers up to speed on progress.

Work closely with operations and design teams on run-of-show events to showcase the new product and ensure the guest experience will deliver on strategy/vision.

Tracks and monitors startup plans by developing training materials, SOPs, or playbooks to ensure each concept/experience is flawlessly executed.

Work closely with Newbuild and other architectural/design/construction partners to ensure physical products meet brand expectations.

Leverage data from Insights & Analytics to help inform development of new products.

Help share experience guidelines to ensure Creative Agencies, Hotel Operations, and Newbuild teams have the needed information to design, build venues or experiences, and ultimately operate the concepts that deliver against the desired guest experience.

Define success criteria for products and experiences and coordinate post-delivery audit of the product through metrics and KPI.

Support the process and governance for guest-facing product changes in line with the Operational Excellence process within Product Development.

Knowledge and Experience:

Experience with the development of physical products and experiences with an understanding of consumer-centric solutions.

Experience developing products grounded in strategies driven by consumer insights/data.

Ability to effectively communicate across a large ecosystem of partners and stakeholders.

Exceptional verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to the executive levels of the company.

Ability to assemble, lead, and influence cross-functional teams to execute against a new product vision.

Able to craft and tell a compelling, if not influential, story for partners and collaborators.

Comfortable navigating the “gray.”

Use a positive outlook and willingness for personal initiative.

Obsessive attention to detail and follow-through.

Qualifications Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum 2 years in a product design or other similar role developing physical experiences or products for consumers, new builds, startups, or similar. Product owner experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Physical product or experience creation is preferred: such as in hospitality, F&B, or entertainment industry.

Comfortable with a fast-paced and “startup”-like environment within a growing team.

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
