Gen II Fund Services, LLC, a New York City headquartered Private Equity Fund Administration firm, is looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Development Director to join our growing team. The Director ensures that projects are completed accurately, within budget, and on time. They also oversee the optimization of technical systems within an organization so that those systems will successfully support business objectives. They will act as the bridge between our client services and development teams to solve complex problems. They provide technical leadership in the development, implementation, and support of the company’s third-party applications. They act as technical liaisons with our clients and other internal departments, coordinating information systems throughout an organization. Problem resolution, scope determination, and coordination of multiple stakeholders are integral components of this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead business users, project managers, and developers to provide high quality enterprise-wide solutions.

Manage a team of software developers working on a specific project, approve work estimates, establish budgets, and communicate with the project manager to evaluate progress.

Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy that aligns with our objectives and drives operational excellence.

Collaborate with executive teams to identify technology opportunities, challenges, and solutions specific to the PE Fund admin industry.

Lead the evaluation and selection of technology platforms, systems, and vendors to enhance processes and optimize efficiency.

Provide guidance and oversight to the technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Identify and mitigate technology-related risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Collaborate with private equity partners to align technology strategies with investment goals and enhance performance.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, evaluate their potential impact, and recommend adoption strategies where applicable.

Prepare and present regular reports on technology initiatives, their impact on processes, and business outcomes.

Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

5+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within heavy data volume industries, Financial Services, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals or similar.

Strong understanding of Private Equity products and processes as well as experience in driving technology initiatives within operations ETL, Data Feeds, Data Flows, Data Ingestion and Data Transformation processes and technology.

Proven experience liaising between client teams and technical development teams, gathering requirements, and solving complex technical issues.

Experience leading Data Transformation projects, technology experience with Qlik, Ab-Initio, Talend or similar is ideal.

Master Data Management (MDM) experience.

Experience with Data Storage, Databases, Data warehousing, CRM’s, Data Lakes etc.

Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that optimize processes and drive operational efficiency.

Deep expertise in evaluating, implementing, and managing technology platforms and systems within the industry.

Strong knowledge of automation, data analytics, and other relevant technologies.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technology concepts into actionable strategies for success.

Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute technology initiatives within tight timelines.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas in a clear and concise manner.

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offer within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.

Work Arrangement:

All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that all US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule. This position will work a hybrid work schedule comprised of a minimum of three (3) days a week in our office and two (2) days remotely.
