POSITION SUMMARY:

AGBO is an artist-led Academy Award-Winning independent studio focused on developing and producing innovative story universes spanning film, TV, and digital platforms. Founded in 2017 by award-winning and record-breaking directors Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO’s mission is to inspire and advance the next generation of storytelling to entertain and influence worldwide audiences. AGBO's recent productions include “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” Netflix’s “The Gray Man,” Amazon thriller series “Citadel,” and Netflix's sequel, “Extraction 2.”

This position is working for a prestigious and prolific production company run by directorial talent. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to work in the heart of a fast-paced, well-connected, highly creative environment.

This role encompasses supporting senior film executives on all projects, from inception to release.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reading scripts, screening films, and tracking IP for development and production consideration

Developing and maintaining relationships with agents, producers, filmmakers, writers, and distributors/buyers

Evaluating pitches and making recommendations to senior management based on sellable concepts and IP

Tracking competitive projects

Generating cast, writer and director list throughout the development process

Providing notes and feedback on project drafts, outlines, and cuts

Maintaining communication with filmmakers/representatives during all phases of the development and production process

Manage AGBO intern program

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have prior experience in development at a studio/production company

Ability to generate creative ideas for projects

Must be diligent, punctual, proactive, strong in writing coverage and pitching material and extremely detail-oriented with maintaining scripts and project materials

Self-starter who proactively seeks ways of developing his/her/their own skills, while taking direction, support and feedback from senior executives

Maintains the strictest levels of confidentiality and discretion around all activity, in particular in relation to ideas and concepts generated internally

Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel
