This position is responsible for the asset development and fundraising aspects of Manatee Community Foundation (MCF) including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding fund holders for the purpose of growing assets of the Foundation. In partnership, and guided by the Vice President of Philanthropy, the role develops and sustains relationships with professional advisors that hold key relationships with potential donors, and implements the development plan including donor engagement strategies, donor affinity group/collaborative management, customer service, and other aspects of the plan.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Identifies, cultivates, and solicits individuals in Manatee County with the financial ability and philanthropic interest to open charitable funds and create charitable legacy plans through the Foundation.Develops an annual stewardship plan to ensure that current donors and fund holders continue to add assets to their funds, utilize MCF as their charitable partner of choice, and have detailed, accurate plans in current and future fund agreements.Contributes to annual fundraising success of operating needs including securing corporate ambassadors, ensuring donor attendance at fundraising events, and soliciting donors for annual operating gifts.Partners with the MCF team to plan events that provide ongoing education, cultivation, and stewardship to donors and prospects and to ensure the needs of donors and donor prospects are met at the events.Develops/manages process and outreach to strengthen professional advisor relationships and client referrals.Represents MCF at events where donors, prospects, and professional advisors are present for the purpose of development and donor relationship building.Partners with Community Investment to ensure timely recommendations made from donor advised funds.Designs and ensures data processes are aligned, accurate, and responsive for database profiles, contacts, fund set-up, and amended fund documents.Prepares reports detailing asset development progress and delivers to the board of directors.Supports the team in delivering presentations to donors, nonprofits, and the community about philanthropy.Partners with Donor Engagement to ensure systems and the CRM are concurrently populated, maintained, and data is utilized to evolve the development strategies.
