Role Overview:

The Events Manager ensures the seamless planning, coordination, and execution of company events, while simultaneously ensuring the highest standards of guest service. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end event management, from the inception of an idea to the actual day of the event, and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership : Lead and drive event-related sales by acting as the primary point of contact for incoming inquiries. Proactively follow up with potential clients to close deals, while continuously working to exceed sales targets.

Client Management : Build and maintain relationships with clients from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. This includes proposal development, contract negotiation, payment tracking, and post-event communication to foster repeat business.

Event Planning and Execution : Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including space inspections, tastings, vendor meetings, day-of client contact, and seamless event execution from setup to teardown.

Sales Strategy and Reporting : Partner with the General Manager to create and implement sales strategies. Track sales metrics such as forecasting, conversion ratios, and lost bookings to optimize sales performance and ensure departmental growth.

Budget Management : Monitor event budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently. Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and contracts that align with our financial goals.

Collaboration : Work closely with the Sommelier and Bar Manager to develop customized drink packages and ensure proper beverage availability. Coordinate with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth event operations.

Marketing and Business Development : Collaborate with the General Manager to develop marketing initiatives that drive event bookings and increase sales. Establish relationships with event planners, neighboring businesses, and key clients to grow the event business.

Client and Vendor Relations : Actively maintain the client database, manage vendor relationships, and ensure optimal event execution. Negotiate agreements with vendors, secure necessary permits, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Industry Research and Trend Analysis : Stay ahead of industry trends to inform strategic planning, optimize event offerings, and contribute to business growth.

Operational Excellence : Oversee the full event cycle, from initial sales to post-event reviews, ensuring all aspects are handled professionally and efficiently. Address guest needs and feedback to provide an exceptional experience.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in event sales, planning, and execution.

Strong negotiation and client management skills, with the ability to drive revenue.

Expertise in budget management and forecasting.

Ability to multitask, adapt to changing circumstances, and solve problems effectively.

Familiarity with event management software (e.g., TripleSeat), POS systems, and CRM tools.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Knowledge of local regulations, permits, and compliance requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Must be able to perform repetitive bending, stopping, twisting, lifting products and supplies.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary: $70,000 annually, plus 5% commission on eligible sales
