The Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) provides support to the HR Department which includes two Sr HR Generalists and the Vice President for HR. The HRC will provide support for our student employee Payroll function. This will include the life cycle process for our student employees (recruiting, onboarding, time and attendance, reviewing student payroll, and reports). The HRC will also support our staff and faculty including assisting with recruiting and onboarding tasks, maintaining various University resources (phone directory, organization charts, etc.), assisting with leaves of absence, and employee events.

This is a part-time, temporary position for one semester with the potential to extend the position for another semester if both parties agree.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate the hiring and onboarding process for student employees which includes:

Assisting in organizing and conducting student employee onboarding and training.

Serving as a resource for student employees by offering guidance on payroll practices, HR policies and services available.

Contributing to the maintenance and accuracy of student employee records in Paycom.

Assist with maintenance/updating of the phone directory, org charts, HR recognition and Service Year writeup, and management of training for staff and faculty.

Assist with Leave of Absences notice preparation.

Manage supply ordering for breakrooms.

Monitor HR email inbox and forward emails to appropriate personnel.

Maintain HR documents on the Ketchum Portal (intranet).

Provide support for HR events as able.

Assist with a comprehensive review of paperwork currently in HR offices and assist with digitizing and filing of files.

Participate in HR team meetings to enhance knowledge of human resources practices and procedures.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups of individuals.

Organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database systems.

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Enrollment in a graduate program at an accredited institution.

Prior experience in human resources or a related field is advantageous.

Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.

Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
