The Director for the Office of Student Involvement (OSI) provides leadership for a comprehensive co-curricular involvement experience designed to create a shared sense of community and contribute to a vibrant campus environment that supports student recruitment and retention. The Director is responsible for the efficient and effective function of student activities and services and works collaboratively with campus partners to support student learning and growth. Bolstering the educational mission of the University, the Office of Student Involvement develops students as lifelong learners through the delivery of programs and services that meet student needs. The Director provides strategic direction and oversight for co-curricular programs and collaborations designed to promote leadership, foster engagement, and facilitate holistic student development. This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Engagement and Belonging.Key Duties Include:

Responsible for the daily operations and programmatic functions of the Office of Student Involvement including leadership education, community service, student organizations, diversity initiatives, fraternity and sorority life, LGBTQ+ programs and services, and campus-wide programming.Supervises the Office of Student Involvement staff including 4 full-time professional staff, 1 graduate assistant, and 10 student employees.Develop and implement co-curricular student programs, which provide individual and group leadership development opportunities, support campus recruitment and retention initiatives, and assist in the successful achievement of academic and career goals.Provide direct advisement and support for a Fraternity and Sorority Life community of 4 chapters, including governing councils and the fraternity and sorority honorary organization.Support the student organization community in self-governance including education programming, policy development, and peer-led organizational processes.Establish and maintain operating policies and procedures consistent with university policies and regulations.Assist in the development and monitoring of annual operation and program budgets; evaluates operational effectiveness and effects changes required for improvement.Establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the Office of Student Involvement.Assist with the creation of comprehensive and positive campus life by cultivating and maintaining effective, collaborative relationships with Student Affairs units, campus partners, faculty and staff, and the St. Louis community.Conduct assessment and evaluation initiatives utilizing assessment instruments to identify the extent to which co-curricular activities support the University’s mission and vision and student development.Support the overall operation of the Office of Student Involvement and contribute to the organization’s overall success by performing other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Engagement and Belonging.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

8am – 5pm, M - FMinimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in College Student Development, Higher Education, or a related field.Knowledge of student development theory, legal issues in higher education, and risk management practices.Experience supervising student staff or graduate assistants.The candidate must possess the ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.Must be able to multitask and take initiative when necessary.Anticipated Hiring Range:
