Position Overview: As a Transportation Continuous Improvement Lead, you will play a critical role in improving quality, enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and implementing process improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing transportation data, identifying root causes to process challenges, existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to streamline processes and drive Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities: Leading or participating in projects to implement new processes and technologies in the Transportation Dept. Evaluating current organizational processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for operational improvement and efficiency gains. Leading or participating in Kaizen events and Gemba Walks. Implementing solutions and following up to sustain the gains. Implementing and supporting the 5s Program. Collaborating with teams to develop and propose practical solutions, including process redesign, automation, or technology enhancements. Facilitating change management efforts by communicating proposed improvements, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation. Leading or participating in Continuous Improvement projects, employing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive ongoing process enhancements. Providing clear work instructions, training, and designing systems to promote sustainability of improvements. Maintaining a continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the Transportation industry and in Continuous Improvement. Facilitating team meetings and leading teams to implement methods of measuring and holding gains in processes. Improving the overall efficiency and functioning of Bozzuto’s Transportation and Operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Transportation Network design of routing and dispatching procedures. Flexibility to work various shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performing other duties as assigned by leadership. Experience: Preferred: B.A. or B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Business or relevant experience. Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Certification. Preferred: One (1) year experience in a transportation environment with hands-on knowledge of relevant systems. Environment: Warehouse Grocery – approx. 50F – 90F. Warehouse Perishable – approx. 26F - 60F. Warehouse Freezer – approx. 0F - -20F. Skills: Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift. Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 75lbs; the ability to operate required facility equipment; ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout your day; walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile, etc. Strong communication skills: Ability to provide & receive constructive feedback; communication of expectations and directions clearly. Building a team-based environment: Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team-building skills; inclusive decision making. Project Management: Results driven regarding implemented KPI’s/Metrics; willingness to participate in continuous improvement projects; managing multiple deadline-based projects. Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives.
