Senior HR Business Partner

You’ll provide thought leadership, guidance, and support to executives, leaders, and employees at all levels of the organization on HR/people related matters.

In this role, you will be held accountable for influencing the development and implementation of people and culture strategies and plans to support your operating units with developing organizational and leader capabilities and staying focused on the work environment. Acts as an advisor and strategic thought partner to OU leadership, providing guidance and direction on people, culture, and organizational matters.

Contributes to the development and execution of OU people strategies/plans.

Advises and partners in the delivery of solutions that address the people and culture related needs of OUs, using internal and external support resources, as appropriate.

Engages with employees and leadership to proactively identify and address work environment challenges and opportunities, influences plans and outcomes through strong thought partnership, accountability, and execution.

Provides feedback, coaching, and insights related to work environment, employee engagement, and other people and culture related matters.

Participates and/or leads special projects and assignments.

Develops working knowledge of OU(s), including their functional operations, strategic plans, priorities, challenges, opportunities, and related people implications.

Builds and maintains solid, trusting relationships at all levels of the organization.

A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

The essentials

Ten or more years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner

or

equivalent HR generalist role.

Five or more years’ experience successfully operating in a strategic HR Business Partnering role, directly supporting a large organization and requiring substantial and regular interaction and direct partnership with senior business executives and leadership teams.

The preferred

HRBP experience delivering HR solutions within a COE operating model.

SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certifications

Experience partnering and supporting Technology teams.

Experience with large-scale organizational change.

Critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively connect the dots.

Ability to analyze, interpret, and translate data into insights by articulating findings and opportunities in a compelling and influential manner.

Create and maintain solid working relationships at all levels, including senior level executives.

Ability to routinely exercise judgement and discretion to advise and recommend course of action.

Experience working in a large complex organization where you had to demonstrate “big picture” thinking and strategic vision while also being able to effectively complete related tactical and transactional work.

Experience coaching employees and leaders.

Experience leading and/or contributing to multiple complex projects.

Experience making sound, strategic decisions that have significant organizational impact.

You should know …The work mode is

hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Additional in-office time may be required as needed to support OUs. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. Employees are required to reside in the state of California.

The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA but may also include field work.
