Our mission is to create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose.The Senior Manager of Internal Communications will manage and distribute routine and critical information to key stakeholders in the organization, including staff, parents, and students. They will support programming for signature and secondary events, the intranet, KIPP’s internal communications strategy, and organizational messaging.Duties and Essential Job Functions:Develop and oversee internal communications, which includes but is not limited to:Serve as editor and content advisor for internal communications at KIPP Public Schools.Intranet:

Support the development and management of KIPP’s intranet site.KIPP’s Blog:

Generate owned blog content 2-3/week.Internal Publications:

Manage and distribute the bi-weekly & Around KIPP Texas & newsletter.Staff Communications:

Develop and distribute all-staff emails and lead all-staff calls.Event Programming:

Support and manage event programming and logistics.Other Communication-related tasks as needed.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree requiredStrong writing skills in English and Spanish (preferred)5+ years of full-time professional experience requiredSelf-starter with problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentFamiliarity with current and new technologyAttention to detail in writing communicationsHigh-level organizational and analytical skillsCultural competency to communicate with diverse backgroundsAbility to travel to Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and/or San AntonioPreferred Education and Experience:Master’s degree in applicable fieldSpanish speaking and writingPhysical Requirements:Ability to work, sit, lift, and drive.Work Environment:Ability to work remotely and in a hybrid environmentConsiderable time spent at a desk using a computer/laptopTypical office environment with frequent interruptionsTravel Requirements:Ability to travel to various KIPP Texas Regions when needed.Compensation and Benefits:Salary is based on years of experience, degree of education, and level of expertise.
