LER TechForce is looking for a Junior Firmware Engineer.As an Embedded Software Engineer at LER TechForce, you will be responsible for the firmware and embedded software (RTOS, Linux, Android) that will operate on custom electronics. Here at LER TechForce, we are building technically strong, fast-moving teams that pride themselves on superior execution. This role entails ownership of our world-class firmware, ranging from architecture and implementation through validation and manufacturing support. This role will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and work in close cooperation with our hardware engineering team as well as the rest of the product development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and debug new and existing real-time firmware in CSpecify, design, and implement functionality and behaviors of embedded subsystemsDrive firmware development for performance, scalability, robustness, and tight hardware integrationAssist in the creation of technical specifications from high-level customer requirementsParticipate in prototype bring-up and debugging, as well as functional verificationEducation & Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in product development or R&D-focused fieldBachelor's Degree in EE/CE/EET/CET preferred, or equivalent experienceConsumer, automotive, industrial, or medical product development experience a plusRequired Qualifications:

Direct experience developing embedded hardware using Linux, RTOS, or bare metalFamiliarity with common hardware-level communications such as USB, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, etcAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with software tools such as Git or SVNFamiliarity with real-time debuggers like Segger J-LinkFamiliarity with schematics, basic electronic components, and connectionsPreferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in product development or R&DExperience with Embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto or BuildrootExperience with Android AOSP and Soong build systemExperience coding in Javascript, Python, and C++ a plusFamiliar with IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, Kiel, IAR, etc.An understanding of power electronics and battery management systemsRF testing experience and experience with regulatory certification and testing (FCC, CE, UL, IEC)Experience working with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, LTE, LoRa, Wi-Fi, etc.Be
