Reporting to the Vice President of Value, your main priority is building our strategy and programs with a set group of National Accounts. You will be the owner of all business related activities and targets at national and market levels. You will collaborate with sales, distribution, marketing, finance, operations, and legal at Headquarters (HQ) and regional levels to ensure that the goals of these customers are achieved. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets and results (Distribution, Price, Promotion, and Presence) at both the national and regional levels, and developing productive business relationships with senior management in all assigned banners/divisions and at the customer's HQ offices.
This role can sit out of any major metro on the East and Central coast, with a preference for NY, PA, TX, GA.
Job Description
BUSINESS PLANNING AND EXECUTION
Implement short- and long-term strategies and activities consistent with our goals and standards.
Allocates resources where the investment has the highest payback with important customers.
Guide the business planning and budget process for the assigned businesses.
Monitor market trends and feed relevant consumer and competitor information to the HQ Insights Department.
Reach the senior executive levels at each customer's HQ and the field-based personnel through Business Reviews to align our strategic goals with that of the customer.
IMPLEMENT RED BULL STANDARDS
Shelf/Distribution - Executes distribution on priority packages consistent with RBNA recommendations and ACV goals for each retailer. Ensure all retailer account schematics reflect Red Bull standards relative to flow, package mix, Fair Space Index, and Strike Zone.
Price - Sell our optimum prices by using best practices and available tools. Customizes presentations to appeal to customer's needs and fulfill mutual goals. Secure pricing and promotional programs that align with Red Bull internal guidance documents.
Promotion - Executes annual promotion schedule following our goals and customer volume/share goals. Ensure all promotions are accompanied by POS and incremental displays.
Presence - Customizes sales pitch to achieve account goals while driving permanent displays. Evaluate return on investment before recommending specific POS or customized solutions. Implement displays following RBNA guidelines.
BUDGET PLANNING
Constructs annual Customer Marketing Agreements and manages associated funds for each retailer.
Track and evaluate Trade Investments to ensure highest return on investment.
Perform post-promotion analysis following all programs to evaluate promotional effectiveness and display execution.
Thoroughly analyze customers' sales to define priorities and focus for the team at both the national & BU levels.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Establish a 'Wiring Model' that ensures all BU management (DKA, DOD, RBDC) are wired with specific Red Bull personnel that manage the HQ & BU business.
Establish necessary tools and business review templates to ensure data consistency with BUs and DPs
Gather updates from marketing about the latest achievements/highlights and share them with your team, the retailer HQ teams, and regional personnel
Use the input for marketing and finance experts to develop plans and conceptual sells to the retailer HQ teams.
Coach broader account team to ensure partnerships, programs, retail relationships, and collaborative relationships with Red Bull & Distributor Partners (DP) field personnel in each BU.
Qualifications
8+ years Sales and Key Account experience
Experience managing national chain business in Value, Grocery or Convenience channels of trade
In-depth knowledge of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Direct Store Delivery (DSD)
Experience analyzing internal and external data sources (i.e. Nielsen, IRI, CPM, 1010, or Sales Data)
Negotiation experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
