Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking a talented
IT Business Consultant
to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be supporting the Florida Department of Financial Services Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM). This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida. Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities: Experience developing complex testing plans for large IT projects that considers all integration partners, interfaces, business processes, and so forth. Experience coordinating and managing tracking of completion of test activities for large complex IT projects, with both internal and external integration partners. Must be able to work with difficult customers to ensure testing objectives are met accurately and on- time.
Develops and maintains the build environment, the source code control system and the issue tracking systems. Creates and tests builds, resolves issues, applies labels to file and communicates build status. Responsible for building scripts and installation procedures. Proactively identifies and implements procedures to streamline the build process which may drive the development and maintenance of an automated build process with automatic notification of build and unit test failure problems to responsible engineers. May assist engineering management in making choices for source code management systems, and other development and testing tools. Knowledge of quality methods and procedures as well as PC, PVCS, UNIX and scripting languages is required for successful performance in this role. Works on multiple releases/projects as a subject matter expert and as a project leader. Works on complex projects that require expertise across multiple disciples and environments.
May coach more junior technical staff. Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (No exceptions). Must be able to work with difficult customers to ensure testing objectives are met accurately and on- time. Proficient in the use of project management, spreadsheet and database query tools. Has subject matter expertise in release management process. Experience coordinating and planning complex testing activities for a large ERP implementation. Experience conducting testing (e.g., automated, manual, integration, and so forth) on large complex IT projects. Experience developing complex testing plans for large IT projects that considers all integration partners, interfaces, business processes, and so forth. Experience coordinating and managing tracking of completion of test activities for large complex IT projects, with both internal and external integration partners. Must have strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with the State or with other governments similar in size in terms of annual budget and full-time equivalent (FTE) employee count. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Visio and MS Project. Experience implementing PeopleSoft in local and state government Knowledge of PeopleTools 8.59+ and fluid page development. Experience using PeopleSoft Financials, Human Capital Management (HCM), and associated business intelligence reporting solutions. Certifications such as Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), data modeling certifications or other related professional certifications.
