Dietz and Watson was founded in 1939 by Gottlieb Dietz, a talented young German sausage maker. His primary goal was to produce the most flavorful, highest quality deli meats in the marketplace, to please even the most discriminating palate. His old-world recipes and commitment to "quality above all" demanded nothing less than the freshest lean beef, ham, pork turkey breast and chicken breast. He then added only the finest all-natural spices and seasonings gathered from around the world.

Today, at Dietz & Watson, the fourth generation of the family continues Gottlieb Dietz's dedication and commitment in preparing our Premium Deli Meats and Artisan Cheeses. In fact, all of our standards exceed those set by government guidelines.

Full Time

Sales Merchandiser to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service.

The Dietz & Watson Merchandiser's main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness. A sales merchandiser should have knowledge of our products as they relate to the deli.

The duties of a Dietz & Watson Merchandiser are listed below but not limited to:

Safely operate a deli slicerSet up of deli cases and appropriately rotate deli productUnderstand and execute schematics/planogramsMaintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS)Needs to be a self-starter, work in a team environment and or with little or no supervisionManage time effectively and productivelyComplete all reports as necessary including store surveysConsistently provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory based on store rankingMake regular store visits documenting all concerns/problems (i.e. shortages, equipment problems, ordering issues, etc.) and addressing these concerns in a timely mannerBuild and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service techniques to deli managers, employees, and store customersPossess the knowledge and ability to both create and market Dietz & Watson programsTraining of all new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training when neededCommunicate any information deemed necessary to Merchandiser Manager (i.e. grand openings, store closing, etc.)Utilizing the monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution.Explore opportunities for sales growth w/Merchandiser ManagerMaintain full displaysMaintain a clean and sanitary work environmentPerform special projects outside of assigned territoryOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements
