Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job DesignationThe Quality Inspector I inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance Instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements.Job Core ResponsibilitiesConducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standardsParticipates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standardsPerforms visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies

1st shift: 5am - 1: 30pm

Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested itemsIdentifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issuesPerforms routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and toolingConducts Internal audits and corrective action follow upsOther responsibilities as assignedRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related fieldYears Experience: 2- 5 years of relevant experienceSkills:Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervisionAble to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issuesSkilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignmentCapable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasksMust be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketchesProficient computer skills

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $20.00-$22.68 hourly; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
