We are looking for Branch Sales Director to join our amaZing team in Chicago!
As a Branch Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales initiatives and exceeding targets. This is accomplished by setting goals, motivating the team, and using performance and industry data to drive the sales plan and accommodate corporate goals.
Your main responsibilities would include:
Strategic Goal Setting: Direct sales forecasting activities, set ambitious yet achievable performance goals aligned with company objectives.Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the Branch sales team through weekly sales meetings and one-on-one mentoring sessions.Target Monitoring: Communicate and monitor sales goals, targets, and KPIs, ensuring they are realistic and attainable. Exercise sound judgment in decision-making, balancing commercial considerations with a commitment to integrity and accountability.Business Expansion: Provide strategic direction to the Account Owners and Sales Support team to expand the Branch's book of business.Continuous Improvement: Conduct KPI reviews, proactively identifying and rectifying service shortfalls and missed opportunities.Collaboration: Foster close communication with Trade and cross-functional teams to stay updated on market intelligence, service updates, customer challenges, and opportunities. Initiate sales campaigns as needed.Contract Negotiations: Drive contract negotiations with Account Owners, Clients, and Trade partners.Requirements
Academic education: Bachelor Degree (Marketing/Business Administration)Experience: 7-10 years' experience in the ocean shipping or freight forwarding industry management positions; 5 years in Sales management position strongly proffered.Midwest market knowledge is crucial.Commercial flair and drive for growth.Proven track record of leading within a complex matrix organization.
