ABOUT THIS POSITION:

As a Linux Systems Engineer at INflow Federal, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting our Linux-based systems. Your strong Linux skills, experience as a Linux system administrator, and troubleshooting capabilities will be vital in addressing operational issues and solving problems as they arise. This role requires a hands-on approach, focusing on operations and firefighting problems to ensure system stability and reliability.

Scripting skills and experience in automating recurring operations are highly desirable. Your work will involve not only managing and maintaining systems but also contributing to process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Address and resolve operational issues with Linux systemsPerform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a system's life cycle to the endOversee complex infrastructure, including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management toolsDevelop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problemsAutomate recurring operational tasks and processesPrepare and maintain documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsMaintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technologyMay coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsMay serve as a team or task leadRequired Skills:

5+ years of related systems administration experienceStrong Linux system administration experienceTroubleshooting skills for operational issuesScripting experience (Bash, Python, etc.)Automation experiencePreferred Experience:
