Job Summary:
The Sales Analyst is responsible for creating and analyzing sales performance documents to aid management in the decision-making process and drive a customer centric organization. Supports sales managers in reporting, forecasting and analysis; sales analyst must be able to translate significant data into actionable information that describes what has happened in the past, what is happening now and what could occur based on current trends. The ideal candidate will have a sales mindset, be disciplined, have a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic and set high standards for data integrity.
What You'll Do:Preparation of gap analysis for sales territories, product groups, etc.Prepare Power BI reports and analyze data for trends and impact on the businessPrepare sales reports for monthly review meetings, executive meetings, presentations, and for parent companyPresent and interpret sales data to facilitate decision making by sales leadersPrepare and report sales and gross profit reports, communicate with branch teams to understand trends and/or transactional issues driving unusual resultsResearch and analyze fluctuations in sales segments and product mixesParticipates in Company planning and forecastingIdentifies, develops and executes opportunities for improvement and best practicesPerform Ad hoc report analysis, other duties and/or projects as assignedDevelops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities to accomplish objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.Assist sales leaders in planning, forecasting and setting sales goalsData collection and reporting of key metrics to track performance on strategic initiativesQuery, analyze and report data for trends and impact on the businessWhat You'll Bring:
Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including macros, queries, PowerPointPower BI report development, analysis, and reportingProficient skills with database query management and various forms of ELT tools and/or applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels of the organizationExperience with ERP systems; Eclipse ERP a plusEnergetic, curious, and motivated; thrives in a changing, deadline-oriented environment where the ability to prioritize is a mustMaintain confidentiality of proprietary business informationHighly detail-oriented, curious, independent critical thinkerBachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University in Data/Analytics, Accounting or Finance1 - 3 years' as a data AnalystElectrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required.Work Environment and Hours:
It's a full-time job in the office, typical work schedule is Monday to FridayLong and varied hours required occasionallyStandard office environment as well as occasionally in a warehouse environment, with standard office equipment.Work is sedentary but may require standing and walking for 5-10% of the time

Pay Range: $55K-$86K
