Lead Technical Support Specialist

Job Title: Lead Application Support EngineerLocation: Tampa, FLSalary Range: $101,000 - $110,000Our Client, a leader in financial services, is seeking a Lead Application Support Engineer to join their Development team. This role focuses on maintaining and providing technical support for applications in daily operations.Key Responsibilities:- Resolve critical application alerts and production defects- Collaborate with internal teams on application issues- Validate and submit audit responses- Manage disaster recovery processes- Identify automation opportunities- Partner with development teams on application design- Manage application deployment and upgrade processesRequired Skills:- 6+ years of related experience (4+ years in Distributed Application Support)- Experience with Java/J2EE, XML, HTML, JavaScript, NodeJS- Proficiency in Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL/PLSQL- Knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake)- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, HiPam, DynaTrace)- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)- Strong problem-solving skillsDesired Skills:- Bachelor's degree in related field- Experience with container platforms and RedHat OpenShift- Knowledge of scheduling tools (CA AutoSys, Control-M)- Middleware experience (Tomcat, WebSphere)- Messaging queue systems knowledge (IBM MQ, Oracle AQ, ActiveMQ)- Exposure to mainframe troubleshooting and support (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS)- Familiarity with mainframe schedulingThis role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic financial services environment.
