Job Title: Lead Application Support Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Salary Range: $101,000 - $110,000
Our Client, a leader in financial services, is seeking a Lead Application Support Engineer to join their Development team. This role focuses on maintaining and providing technical support for applications in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve critical application alerts and production defects
- Collaborate with internal teams on application issues
- Validate and submit audit responses
- Manage disaster recovery processes
- Identify automation opportunities
- Partner with development teams on application design
- Manage application deployment and upgrade processes
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of related experience (4+ years in Distributed Application Support)
- Experience with Java/J2EE, XML, HTML, JavaScript, NodeJS
- Proficiency in Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL/PLSQL
- Knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, HiPam, DynaTrace)
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Strong problem-solving skills
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience with container platforms and RedHat OpenShift
- Knowledge of scheduling tools (CA AutoSys, Control-M)
- Middleware experience (Tomcat, WebSphere)
- Messaging queue systems knowledge (IBM MQ, Oracle AQ, ActiveMQ)
- Exposure to mainframe troubleshooting and support (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS)
- Familiarity with mainframe scheduling
