Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team on a Full-Time basis.The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.Essential Functions:Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluationEffectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practicesMaintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practicesInteracts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleaguesCollaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practiceIntegrates research findings into clinical practicePosition Requirements:Required: Associate's Degree in NursingRequired: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in NursingCurrently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standingRequired Certification: Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire, PALS certification within 6 monthsPreferred Certification: ENPC and TNCC CertificationNon-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendarComputer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.
