Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,627 per week

Certification Details ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required TNCC or TCAR recommended Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) required before start Job Details A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced MedSurg/Tele Trauma nurses for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License. Job Requirements 2 years of experience Active BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications Active CA License Trauma experience strongly preferred Schedule Information 12 hr shifts Report is at the bedside OT and extra shifts are available Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it Schedules are out 4 weeks Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff Block scheduling is generally not available Unit Specific Information Unit: Trauma MedSurg/Tele 5 Central Number of beds: 32 Patient to nurse ratios: 1:4 - Tele, 1:5 - MedSurg EMR: Cerner Weekends: Every Other Weekend Scrub Color: Navy Tele: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Trauma patients, trachs and chest tubes, drains, lifts, geriatric, Avery camera system in all rooms Additional Details Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) Prior to acceptance, the Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA is required to be sent along with acceptance
