About this role

We're looking for our first-ever Partner Enablement hire, who'll shape the global Partner Enablement program from the ground up, tackling everything from new partner onboarding, preparing our partners to co-sell with the Writer sales team, and helping partners demonstrate the potential of generative AI. This role will be a member of our partnerships team, working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including, Enablement, Sales, Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, and Partner Ops. You'll be reporting to the VP of Partnerships.

This role will be responsible for enabling our partners' Go-to-Market teams on new product releases, the value of new features, and how to effectively demonstrate them to customers. You'll play a critical role in making sure our partners have the knowledge and skills to understand when to recommend Writer, where we fit in the AI marketplace, which use cases are the best fit per vertical, and how to position our solutions.

Lastly, this is a new role at Writer, so we're looking for someone who can both plan for the future and execute for the present. You'll be a mighty team of one, so getting your hands dirty, partnering effectively, and iterating will be key to success in this role.

Your responsibilitiesPartner closely with your Partnership team stakeholders, aligning on their metrics and helping them achieve Writer's Partnerships goals.Design, build, and manage partner enablement programs to support partner sales and technical pre-sales teams.Keep on top of company-wide enablement initiatives, so partners can benefit from what we're building for our internal teams in near real-timeCreate and facilitate global partner bootcamps, both in-person and virtual sessions.Develop enablement program materials and onboarding tools to enhance the partner experience and effectively communicate program details.Create and manage a partner portal to facilitate partner management and provide access to relevant resources and information.Design and implement channel enablement certification and badge models.Gather feedback from partners to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.Metrics you'll review or be accountable for:

Partner proficiency in Writer positioning and product capabilitiesPartner engagement in enablement programs and the partner portalKey partner sales metrics, such as revenue generated, deal size, win rates, and sales cycle length (influenced metric)☆ Is this you?

7+ years of experience working in sales, technical presales, enablement, and/or partner sales rolesProven experience in building and running partner programs, channel enablement, or partner marketing in the software/SaaS spaceStrong understanding of the partner ecosystem and dynamicsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsStrong project and program management skillsExperience with partner portals and enablement toolsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersSelf-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiencesProven success in early/mid stage SaaS startups is a mustThrives in ambiguity and can create paved roads from dirt pathsAbility to facilitate sessions with broad, global audiences both in-person and remotely; domestic and international travel will be requiredAptitude for building and managing a team to effectively support partner programs, enablement, and communications on a global scale is a plusAND
