Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a hybrid full-time Network Engineer opportunity available based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Top Secret security clearance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIESThis individual will be responsible todesign, analyze, plan, modify, and maintain networks and network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities .

May conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis. May evaluate new technology. Duties may include providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; providing information for hardware and software selection; and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Potential applicants must possess at least a Top Secret Clearance and willing to live and work in Charleston SC with up to 50% travel.Proficiency with various network topographies (data center, LAN, and WAN).Proficiency with virtualized and software defined networks (VMWare, CISCO, et)Design, implement and maintain complex systems and networksProficient in Route, Switch and Firewall configuration activitiesExperience developing test plansParticipate in periodic design reviews as dictated by customer / contract requirementsLeverage manufacturer's literature and technical support during solution developmentCollaborate with other engineers and project managers to deliver a successful design productUtilize controlled documentation and government standards, application guides, and industry best practices to support the design and installation process.Stay informed of new technologies as they apply to electronic security applicationsAssume leadership role to manage and direct subcontractors (if necessary) installation tasking to ensure the plans and specifications are being adhered/followed.Provide the scope definition, specification, and budgetary write-ups for proposal capture personnel for electrical engineering projects.Required QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols4-6+ years of relevant experience directly related to network engineering designCCNA certification, CCNP certification preferredCognizant of network topologies as well as understand necessary configurationFirewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSLCisco LAN Core and Distribution switches, experience with ACL's, routing, hardeningExperienced with VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) design and deploymentFamiliarization or experience in Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) including Access Solutions, Transfer Solutions, and Multi-level solutions and knowledge of DoDI 854001Proven ability to direct staff and work with a diverse team, experience working with host country nationals strongly preferredAbility to manage multiple, simultaneous workloads effectively, including adapting to changes, planning, organizing, and prioritizing workSystem administration experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensionsA Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is preferred with four (4) to six (6) yearsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Active Passport.Ability to travel up to 50%, both CONUS and OCONUS.In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONSCambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements.
